Deep Listening Practice ~ Free Intro
28th October 11.00am-12pm For anyone who is interested to explore this approach to listening
Service Description
Deep Listening is an approach to listening that supports us to be receptively attuned to ourselves and the other/s as we employ the classic active skills. It helps our listening to be sustainable and has the potential to be nourishing to us as listeners as well as to those we are listening to. It is great for anyone who values being able to listen well and also wants to be able to do so for the long term This is a free 1 hour online introduction to Deep Listening. We will explore how the way we listen can strengthen connection and co‑regulation within relationships and services. We’ll gently consider how stress and role pressures shape our nervous systems, influencing how present, open and grounded we feel when we’re with others. Through simple, reflective activities, we’ll notice the patterns that arise in our listening—what pulls us into fight, flight or freeze, and what helps us soften, settle and reconnect. We’ll explore small, practical ways to bring more ease, safety and responsiveness into our everyday interactions. Together, we’ll reflect on how both individuals and organisations can create conditions that support regulation, deeper listening, and safer relational practice. What to expect * A simple introduction to how our nervous systems are “listening” to each other just as much as our ears are. * Experiential practices that help you sense and explore this directly. * Group discussion about how these patterns show up in real work scenarios. * Tools and perspectives that support awareness and help strengthen your capacity to regulate. * A summary of the approach, encouragement to take manageable next steps, and signposting to further resources. Everyone is welcome If you have any questions or reflections please email me on jennyrosesmith123@gmail.com Photo credit ~ Dan Carlson Unsplash
